Shuffle Master, Inc. and OpenBet Ltd. announce Internet software license agreement


openbet logoLAS VEGAS, Nevada and LONDON, Monday, Oct. 24, 2011 - Shuffle Master, Inc. (NASDAQ Global Select Market: SHFL) (“Shuffle Master”) and OpenBet Ltd. (“OpenBet”) today announced their entry into an Internet Software License Agreement.  Under the agreement, OpenBet will be able to provide online games based on some of Shuffle Master’s most popular proprietary table games to Canada’s legalized online gaming sites, including Loto-Québec and the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.

“Given the growing popularity of online gaming in Canada, offering our popular brands to this key market through OpenBet’s platform is a natural next step for Shuffle Master and part of our strategy to leverage our intellectual property online,” said Gavin Isaacs, Chief Executive Officer of Shuffle Master.  “This agreement provides us with an exciting distribution channel for our specialty games and is further affirmation of our belief that this will be an important segment for our Company.  We are very pleased that we are going to be working with OpenBet.”

OpenBet already provides game platforms and content to the online sites operated by Loto-Québec and the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.  Under the agreement with Shuffle Master, OpenBet will be offering licensed games based on Shuffle Master's Three Card Poker™, the most popular specialty game of all time, as well as Casino War® and its Fortune Pai Gow Poker® side bet.
